 They've only had the game since it came out on Saturday,

and I miss them.

I had 2 chances to win this week and boy did I!!!

Last night I won the chili cook off at the barn.

Okay there were only 8 in the competition but there was only 1 winner!

And earlier this week I was at a quilting retreat in Toccoa.

At the end of the week they give away lots of door prizes.

But they only give away ONE sewing machine each year...

and you guessed it...they called MY NAME!!!

I think I'm still in shock!

It looks just like this little beauty.

 

Now, I'm off to buy a lottery ticket...

I'm back...

from a blissful week in the North Georgia mountains.

Bill stayed home with the kids.

I spent my time walking in the gorgeous weather and enjoying the fall color

but mostly...

quilting!

There were over a hundred of us...

all quilting.

It was really fun.

It's so cold...

I had to pay this kid a dollar just to walk to the mailbox!

 

I didn't want the mail bad enough to do it myself!

We had a little party and presented a quilt to her while she was here.

 

And I made a little wall hanging from leaves the kids collected...

 

It's beginning to look a lot like fall here!
