Memorial Day.

Is the day that we remember.

 

We had a good discussion about what we remember and why. And about gratitude.

 

While we were at the lake enjoying a cookout and swimming.

 

Bailey did not have so much fun, because there was a 2 lb. chiuaua at the next table that she was terrified of...

 

so she hid under the table most of the time.

Seriously? Only Bailey.

 

Then we stopped for ice cream on the way home.

Not a bad way to spend the day.

And we are grateful to have had such a lovely day to remember those who gave so much...

for us.

So that we could have days like this.

Garden Update.

 

 

Now if I could just figure out how to get rid of the pesky little mice and rabbits that have found it!

I don't want to kill them, I just want them to move somewhere else.

I planted these vegetables for MY family, is that so selfish?

Sigh.

Quilts of Valor...

 

is an organization that provides quilts for every service member injured in the line of duty.

It is my honor to have been involved with this organization now for several years.

This is the second quilt I have worked on.

I made the top in November of last year.

It was quilted by someone else, then returned to me for binding, label and case.

It will be sent away next week.

I hope the recipient is pleased, and can feel how much love and appreciation is in every stitch.
