and 17 new mosquito bites to prove it!
I bought brand new bug spray last week and used it ONCE.
It worked like a charm...
then POOF
it disappeared into thin air.
Nowhere to be found.
That drives me NUTS!
Now I have to go buy more, so I can find the can I just lost.
Don't you HATE it when that happens?
I do.
At least I have some yummy veggies to eat.

It's such a great way to record our family history!
I am having so much fun taking photos and saving bits and pieces of things to add.
So glad I chose to use this system this year.
And a certain someone wanted to be in the pictures too...
He's such a camera hog!

My mom gave me this adorable basket when I declared my "chicken kitchen"
and then Stacey gave me this to keep watch over my stove,
and Mary Ruth gave me this cutie to hang out on the counter.
I won this towel at the quilt meeting made by my friend Linda!
And yesterday, Patsy gave me this super cute chicken kit...
It's so nice to have friends that support my habits!
I am a lucky girl.
I met the one and only SUE SPARGO today! And I brought a few goodies home as you can see.
in pink no less.
This is a pattern I have wanted to try for quite some time.
Then I found this ruler at the quilt shop.
It has CHANGED MY LIFE!!!!
No seriously, it is too cool.
And it make perfect circles every time.
I have pieced most of them, but this quilt could grow still.
It all started with this piece of green fabric that I HAD to have and it was on super discount sale.
So why not?
Then again, this is what my quilt room looks like when I shop faster than I sew...
Yikes, better get sewing!
my kids and dogs are doing this!
I know it's summertime, but I think they stayed up too late.
And then there was the crazy loud storm most of the night.
And the pounding of the new roof the last three mornings at 7am.
But still...
I don't have the heart to wake them,
they look so snuggly.
Sigh.
some peace and quiet, and a new roof!
Now, we can resume our regularly scheduled activities...
like QUILTING!
