Seriously, the person who invented these was a GENIUS.
We all agree.
Now how often does THAT happen?
And, I finished making this over the weekend...
Granted, by the time I paid for the class, and the fabrics, I could have bought a new Vera...
but where would the satisfaction be in that?
I do think it's rather cute, and well worth the time and effort.
Now Kelly wants one.
No problem.

Also a trip to the quilt shop to visit with friends.
But I woke up with a migraine.
So I stayed in bed. And medicated.
So I am much improved now, but I missed the markets.
Oh well, there is always next Saturday.
I did finish this quilt last night.
(It's a Bonnie Hunter pattern from her Leaders and Enders book.)
David chose the blue and brown, because I was making the quilt for him.
He's not so crazy about it now, so I think I have to make another.
That's okay, I love to make quilts, no problem.
When Kelly woke up at noon, she saw it hanging over the railing and exclaimed,
OH WHAT A PRETTY QUILT!
I told her that's why she's my favorite child.
Just kidding.
Don't you just love that smile though?

Kelly and Bill ran at the greenway today.
The boys rode their bikes.
I walked.
It was nice in the shade.
Still hot, but nice.
at our house!
It's so stinkin hot that we have the kids sitting out there taking a shift!
The good news is, we have lots of stuff that is no longer cluttering up the attic and basement!
I'm so excited to present my first harvest from the garden this year.
By next week we will be swimming in tomatoes and strawberries.
Some sneaky critter is still eating my corn...grrrr.
And I'm trying to machine quilt this for David's bed...
but my Bernina is being very cranky!
So I'm no longer speaking to her.
Not sure how I'm going to finish the quilt though.
But I'm not sure why I couldn't get a shot of us that wasn't blurry.
Oh maybe this was why.
But this was the best...

Oh heck, it was all wonderful!
