At the beginning of the summer, Kelly and I had a conversation about the school's recommended summer reading list. They print out a list of books and ask that the students read 4-5 of the 40+ titles. As Kelly handed me the list she said, "Mom, I've read MOST of the books on this list already!" Because, having been homeschooled for three years, she had lots of time to read books. Lots of books. She's like me, she just loves a good book. So what was she supposed to read since the list was obviously not an option for her? So far she's read the following:
Angels & Demons and The DaVinci Code
and a few random books about horses or dogs or cats....she is a 14 year old girl after all.
As for me, I'm little more embarrassed to admit what I've been reading this summer. Most of the books are listed on the book list to the right. I only post the ones I really like. I may or may not have read a certain series about a guy named Christian Gray, and that's all I'm going to say about that. Oh my. I would recommend any of the following:
Night Circus (haven't read this yet, but plan to next)
So what are you reading, or have read lately, that you would recommend? I'm always looking for good books and would love to get some ideas. Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy!
