He got so tired of listening to me complain about this dang poison ivy that he left. Granted he's just working but he won't be home until Friday. With any luck the worst will be over by then.

He's only been gone a few hours and I already miss him!

Sign of the times...

This week Bill flew one of the four Delta jets that went to the graveyard in the dessert.
The jets are stored there until they are needed again, or until they are stripped of their parts and retired forever.
It makes me feel sad knowing they are just sitting out there, not needed because of the economy.
Then all eight of the pilots were driven to the Tucson airport to fly home as passengers on a regularly scheduled flight the same day.
Just another sign of the times.

Motivation...

is a powerful thing.

 

These two have been doing well in school.

Actually, very well, but we didn't think they were trying their BEST.

So a few days ago Bill casually mentioned...

If they would get a 100 on their next big test, he would pay them $100.

That's right, they both got 100's on their science unit test today.

Poor Bill.

I would share a photo of Bill, but being the good father and husband that he is, he took a one day overtime trip offered to him this morning. He works so hard for us to have a good life, in so many ways. We did have a few moments to show him our appreciation this morning.

And very special Happy Father's Day wishes to my own father, who doesn't read this blog, so I sent him a card.

Now, go hug a father in your life and say thanks, they deserve it!
