45 years of my life are history, just like that! They've been pretty good mostly, I'm looking forward to what year 46 brings...
I'm sure it will include plenty of time with these two.
Hopefully, lots of time in here...
And plenty of time with these guys...
It will also include 20 years of this...
And the first full year of having this...
So there's lots to look forward to!

Today's harvest included a squash, two cucumbers, broccoli, lots of lettuce, and some herbs.
Tonight's dinner included the roasted squash and broccoli, salad with cucumbers and ice tea with herbs.
I also made whole wheat pasta with sun dried tomato pesto, and multi grain bread with garlic and parmesan. But I didn't grow any of that.
It was obviously very fresh, and super delicious. But the best part?
All five us together around the table.
It was a bonus that everyone liked it!

Recipe:
Prepare one cup of quinoa according to pkg. directions.
In a bowl, combine one red bell pepper chopped, one can of drained corn and one can of drained and rinsed black beans.
Mix in 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of lime juice, 1 teaspoon of parsley, and 2 teaspoons of cumin.
Once the quinoa is cooked, toss it with the rest of the mixture. Eat warm or chilled.
Warning: this could be addictive!

I feel like I've made a million of these, and it's only week 2!
I am getting lots of stitching done on this while waiting in carpool line.
I've also been playing with these...
and still, slowly stitching on this...
I have a few hundred more of these to put in a border...
And I'm feeling SO tired from our new routine,
I'm really hoping my body will adjust to this new rhythm soon.

We went to see Midnight in Paris last night and really enjoyed it!
Love Paris, loved the scenery and thought the actors were wonderful.
We've gotten several texts from the kids telling us how much fun they are having.
But we are still missing the craziness of stair sliding...
and these two making their famous margarita's...
and salsa...
Wishing there were some more of these left...
so I could make some more of this...

But it's hard to work on old projects when I have all this new stuff waiting to be played with...
It's always the same old dilemna...

And, I finished making this over the weekend...
Granted, by the time I paid for the class, and the fabrics, I could have bought a new Vera...
but where would the satisfaction be in that?
I do think it's rather cute, and well worth the time and effort.
Now Kelly wants one.
