This quilt was shared this week at guild...
She inherited an old quilt top and decided to get it quilted.
It is so amazing, and the quilting will actually help preserve it.
I am so glad she shared it, the colors and fabrics are amazing.
In other news...
these boys got a package in the mail yesterday and couldn't rip it open fast enough.
And now they have "professional" kendamas.
We have quite the collection.
Too funny.
Meanwhile, I spent the day at this exhibit with Mary Ruth.
It was amazing!

They've only had the game since it came out on Saturday,
and I miss them.
For lunch we had...
Homegrown cucumber and tomato salad.
I marinated the cucumbers in red wine vinegar with salt and pepper.
For a treat we had...
Triple Chocolate Frozen Pudding Pops.
Add mini chips, a layer of white chocolate pudding, and a layer of chocolate pudding to a paper cup. Insert plastic spoon and freeze. Yum!
If that doesn't do the trick, get out the slip and slide...
Or have your sister spray you with the hose...

It goes something like this: I decide it would be fun to have a little family time. I bake brownies as bribery. I tell the kids if they will play a couple of rounds of a game (last night was uno) then they can have brownies for dessert.
Then this happens: David has to be reminded no less than 500 times to either get out from under the table or play his turn because we are all waiting. Danny keeps thinking up new rules that could "improve" the game or at least his odds of winning. Kelly manages to crack herself up within minutes and spends the next hour in a fit of giggles. Bill shifts between looks of genuine amusement and sheer pain on his face. And I keep asking...who's crazy idea was this in the first place? (don't answer that!)
