We finally caved and bought a fake tree for the first time.
I feel like a sell out.
At least the box has provided hours of entertainment!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to buy a candle that smells like a tree.
For all this and so much more.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, good food, and fun traditions...
We all watched the dog show while the dogs watched Bill prepare the turkey.
Then we all ate and drank to our hearts' content.
We even followed it up with a little black friday shopping (but not before 10am!)
It was everything it should have been and more.
Lots of blessings to count around here...

We started the day with orange pancakes, of course!
We haunted the house...
Then we sent the nerds...
and the goblins...
out to gather candy, and boy did they!

we were visited by a mystery ghost, who left a pumpkin full of treats on our porch!

And this is my view on the way home from school this morning.
Most mornings are very misty and foggy but the cows don't seem to notice.
Quite a few of them actually.
The rain finally let up enough for us to shoot fireworks last night.
The kids enjoyed some sparklers too.
It was a lovely way to end the day.
