R.I.P. sweet girl...

 

She died peacefully in her sleep this evening.

She will be greatly missed by all of us.

Nutmeg was the best guinea pig ever...

ever.

Bad knees...

apparently run in his family.

 
The vet told us today that he's got one knee that is really bad and one that is only half bad.

Poor guy.

He's starting his glucosamine supplements today.

Let's hope they taste better than they smell, whew.

Love him SO MUCH.

Good times...

around here include football in the front yard,

 

the sound of music,

 

friends,

 

family,

 

sweet doggies,

 

and finishing another quilt!

 

Not bad for a week around here.

Hope your week was filled with things you love.

The fall garden...

is in!

 
I finally finished ripping out most of what was left of the summer garden.

Not a moment too soon, I might add. Those watermelon vines had gone wild!

But the gourds and pumpkins are growing like crazy, the peas a starting to climb, and the last tomato plant is still producing...it's quite the persistent plant! And I transferred some of the herbs to give them more room.

I planted spinach, lettuce and mixed greens the other day...still waiting for them to pop up.

Have I mentioned lately, how much I LOVE this little garden!?!

In other news...

If you want to TOTALLY FREAK OUT THE DOG...

just put her outside in the morning while this is floating by...

She's BACK!!!!

Lindsey is finally back from her summer in SC and we are SO happy to see her!

Even Buddy is happy she's back, he missed her too!

Quiet Sunday around here...

while we are still trying to cope with this heat.

Bill is doing this...

Kelly is still in her pajamas...

Danny is STILL playing this game...

David is just hanging out...

I have been doing this...

Bailey is being good for the moment...

Buddy is tired of being hot...

I had the kids collect these for me today, for my next quilting project...

And now I'm trying to motivate myself to go to the grocery store.

Or come up with a dinner plan that doesn't require a trip to the store!

I told you it was a quiet Sunday around here.

On this day...

3 years ago, we welcomed sweet Buddy to the family!

We love him more every day...

I can't even THINK about what my mom had to do to me tonight.

Sigh, glad that's over.

One of them is getting their beauty rest, the other is practicing to be a teenager....

Don't ask if she's worth it...

that answer changes depending on what she's been up to at any given moment.

But she certainly does give us lots of love and laughs.

Guess you can't put a price on that.
